TRAIN TO TEACH CHILDREN’S YOGA

TUESDAY, JULY 11 – THURSDAY, JULY 20, 2017
Tucked alongside Starved Rock State Park, Mission Propelle’s 95-Hour Children’s Yoga Teacher Training invites yoga enthusiasts and educators to break ties with the hustle and bustle for a 9-night immersion in nature and knowledge.

Earn your RCYT – the highest certification available to children’s yoga teachers – while enjoying organic, vegetarian meals and daily yoga and mindfulness workshops with children ages 2-15.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This log-cabin retreat goes beyond the basics.

Yes, you’ll earn your Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher credential from trainers who exceed industry standards in experience, knowledge, and aptitude serving diverse learners. Yes, you’ll be within walking distance of waterfalls, trails, wildlife, and canyons. Yes, you’ll enjoy organic, vegetarian meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But on top of all that, you’ll enjoy a daily wine and cheese hour, snacks from KIND and LUNA, unlimited s’mores, and did we mention wine and cheese?

Lodgings are shared and meals are taken together (though if you want more privacy, we have that option too). The training schedule follows a calm/active rhythm, accommodating the sleep schedules of both morning people and night people. Of course, if you need a break, just step out on the deck and commune with a burbling creek.

Now for the nitty-gritty: Our curriculum, developed by the founder of Mission Propelle and endorsed by the Yoga Alliance, covers the six pillars of yoga for ages 2-15: General Background in the Specialty Area; Techniques, Training and Practice; Teaching Methodology; Anatomy and Physiology; Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics for Children’s Yoga Teachers; and Practicum. Workshops and practicum experiences allow participants to customize their learning based on their preferred age group. Trainees will accrue all required contact hours during the retreat. Thanks to an official partnership with Grand Bear Resort, trainees will have the opportunity to observe and teach groups of children in preschool, elementary school, and middle school as well as parent-child sessions.
